At about 16.00 hours on 5.5.38, two men named CHEUNG SHAP
NG and CHEUNG YUNG KAU were brought to this Station by Detective
Police Sergeant C.540 IP CHAK of Shaukiwan.

CHEUNG SHAP NG made the attached statement regarding an
alleged outrage on a Hong Kong junk in Chinese Waters by Japanese. (The second man CHEUNG YUNG KAU is the son of the master of the junk who is amongst the missing. He (the son) was not on board at the
time of the affair).
3. At about 19.30 hours, just when CHEUNG SHAP NG had
concluded his statement, a man named FAN YING, 33, master of
Fishing Junk No.495 H.W., native of Hong Kong, arrived at this
Station with two women named CHENG SHU, 17, and CHAN KUM MI, 20,
and these women were at once identified by CHEUNG SHAP NG as
belonging to his junk. Both these women were in an exhausted
condition and each had several wounds. They were immediately
removed to hospital, and the Medical Officer's certificate issued
on admission is enclosed. FAN YING's statement describing how he
found these two women is attached.

Medical
CHEUNG SHAP NG's wrists bore marks of having been bound, and he was sent to Kowloon Hospital for examination.
Officer's certificate is also enclosed.
5.
On morning of 6.5.38, I took the attached statement from
CHEUNG SHU in the Kowloon Hospital. This woman is reported to be
"very ill" although in no immediate danger. There may be
complications through pneumonia.
